The further away from the coast, the more complex each mission becomes – from anti-piracy measures and the protection of exclusive economic zones to humanitarian aid on the high seas. Fassmer supplies offshore patrol vessels (OPVs) that can remain autonomous for up to 30 days, cover long distances at a cruising speed of 18 to 24 knots, and accommodate helicopters, UAVs or container modules thanks to their spacious flight and mission decks. Naval steel hulls and robust, low-maintenance systems minimise life cycle costs. This gives government and naval fleets worldwide freedom of action – without compromising on efficiency and flexibility.
