83m LNG Ferry "Helgoland"

Fassmer has designed and built the first German passenger ferry with a dual-fuel propulsion system, pioneering into the new clean and emission-free LNG propulsion technology.

The 83m vessel with a capacity of more than 1,000 passengers covers the service to the German North Sea island of Heligoland for Cassen-Eils. The ferry complies with or exceeds all of the latest environmental regulations and has an extremely low environmental footprint. With its diverse restaurants and bars, large sun deck, and good seagoing characteristics, the ferry offers the relaxed atmosphere of a cruise vessel.
