Gangways and standard products

Gangways

Fassmer gangways are made of seawater-resistant aluminium and are suitable both for seagoing merchant and passenger vessels and for pier or jetty assembly. All product versions comply with international classification society regulations. Gangways vary in length from 2 to 20m, with a width of between 2,000 and 600mm. Their horizontal working angle can be adjusted from -30° to 30°.

Gangways of glass fibre-reinforced plastic (GRP)

This is an outstanding example of the company’s innovative potential and its effective use of in-house synergies. GRP gangways are now standard products for boarding systems, and have a number of notable features. The gangway on the right is 3m long and was built for a cruise vessel. The advantage of combining GRP and aluminium is that it is straight, light and has a non-skid surface. Each gangway is modified geometrically to meet each vessel's individual requirements. Various types are available, or gangways can be custom-produced.
