The METEOR IV has a length of around 125 meters and a size of approximately 10,000 GT. In addition to 35 scientists, the new build offers space on board for 36 nautical and technical crew members.
The ship is designed for worldwide multifunctional and interdisciplinary research, with a focus on the Atlantic. The new vessel will make an important contribution to national and international marine research, particularly in the areas of climate and environmental research.
