It is an all-rounder whose duties include the transport of personnel, equipment and materials, the maintenance of navigation buoys, sounding operations, ice-breaking, and many other operations under extreme conditions. Seawater-resistant aluminium reduces the weight of the superstructure, and a radio-controlled hydraulic crane is available for work on deck.
