Vacuum Infusion

Larger components with increased stability requirements are ideally produced using the vacuum infusion and a higher fibre volume, which optimises the mechanical properties.

The component reproducibility is larger than when hand lay-up is used, and quality fluctuations are smaller.

Typical elements built using the vacuum infusion are boat hulls, wind turbine rotors, or components for the automotive and leisure industry. When it comes to batch sizes, vacuum infusion is often used for single large components or medium quantities, but sometimes also for small batches. Due to its complexity, the application of these requires in-depth knowledge and skills.
